Keyboard Shortcuts

TxDx features many keyboard shortcuts. Here’s a list of them all.

macOS favours the ⌘ key for shortcuts. Windows and Linux rely more on the CTRL key. In the examples below we’ll use ⌘, but if you’re on Linux or Windows, use the CTRL key instead.

  • - Select the previous item. Wraps around your list.
  • - Select the next item. Wraps around your list.
  • ⌘ + ↑ - Jump to the first item on your list.
  • ⌘ + ↓ - Jump to the last item on your list.
  • ⌘ + F - Open the search bar to search int the current view.

Item creation, editing and deletion

  • ⌘ + N - Create a new item in the current view.
  • , Backspace or Delete - Delete the currently selected item.
  • or Enter - Start editing the selected item.
  • ⌘ + X - Toggle Completed/Pending on the selected item.

When editing an item

  • , Enter or Esc - Save and exit editing.

Due date

  • ⌘ + T - Set the due date for the selected item to Today.
  • ⌘ + K - Clear the due date for the selected item.

Priority

  • ⌘ + ⇧ + A - Set priority to (A) for the selected item.
  • ⌘ + ⇧ + B - Set priority to (B) for the selected item.
  • ⌘ + ⇧ + C - Set priority to (C) for the selected item.
  • ⌘ + ⇧ + D - Set priority to (D) for the selected item.
  • ⌘ + ⇧ + X - Clear priority for the selected item.
